NDSU’s pulse breeding program will be among the topics discussed during this year’s field day.

Crop production and technology will be the focus of the July 19 field tour at North Dakota State University’s North Central Research Extension Center near Minot.

The tour begins at 9:30 a.m. with a welcome from Shana Forster, the center’s director.

Topics that will be covered and the presenters are:

  • NDSU pulse breeding program - Tom Stefaniak, North Central Research Extension Center (NCREC) plant breeder

Also during the program, NDSU crop specialists will conduct a pest clinic. The specialists will be available to diagnose weed, disease and insect problems.
