NDSU Agriculture, Extension Faculty, Staff Honored

NDSU Agriculture and Extension faculty and staff receive awards for their work.

North Dakota State University honored Agriculture and Extension faculty and staff in an awards ceremony this week.

The office of the vice president for Agriculture and University Extension; College of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Natural Resources; North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station; and NDSU Extension Service presented the awards.

The 2007 award recipients were:

  • Larson/Yaggie Excellence in Research Award – Catherine Logue, associate professor, Department of Veterinary and Microbiological Sciences
  • Eugene R. Dahl Excellence in Research Award – Michael McMullen, associate professor, Department of Plant Sciences
  • Earl and Dorothy Foster Excellence in Teaching Award – Sarah Wagner, assistant professor, Department of Animal Science
  • H. Roald and Janet Lund Excellence in Teaching Award – Cole Gustafson, professor, Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics
  • William J. and Angelyn A. Austin Advising Award – Cheryl DeVuyst, associate professor, Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics
  • Myron and Muriel Johnsrud Excellence in Extension/Outreach Award – Joe Zeleznik, Extension forester, Department of Plant Sciences
  • AGSCO Excellence in Extension Award – Sharon Kickertz-Gerbig, Extension agent, Stark/Billings County
  • Charles and Linda Moses Staff Award – Barbara Mullins, research specialist, Department of Soil Science
  • Donald and Jo Anderson Staff Award – Sharon Lane, Distribution Center manager, Agriculture Communication
  • Rick and Jody Burgum Staff Award – Beverly Liebelt, account technician, Department of Animal Science
