N.D. State Fair 4-H Communication Arts Awards Announced

Youth receive awards of excellence in Communication Arts at the State Fair.

The State 4-H Communication Arts Contest was held at the North Dakota State Fair for the first time this year.

Eighty-two 4-H members participated in the event held Sunday, July 20, after they competed on a regional level in June. Youth receiving an award of excellence by category were:

  • Broadcasting: Preteen - Emily Zurn, Fargo
  • Commercial: Preteen - Alyssa Kemp, Cavalier; Kaylee Kemp, Cavalier
  • Demonstration: Teen - Lauryn Hinckley, Bismarck; Preteen - Kaylee Eisenbarth, New England; Gracie Erickstad, Horace; Katrina Just, Berlin; Adrian Sougstad, Mandan
  • Dramatic Presentation: Teen - Anne Storick, Bismarck
  • Illustrated Talk: Teen - Kelsey Hibl, Dickinson; Morgan Well, Jamestown; Preteen - Wilton Henke, Stanton
