4-H’ers Win Awards in N.D. State Fair Dairy Show

Forty-two cattle were exhibited in this event.

Youth from throughout the state competed in the 4-H Dairy Show at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot on Friday, July 25. Forty-two cattle were exhibited in the 4-H division.

In addition, the youth participated in senior, intermediate and junior divisions of showmanship. Barry Visser, Hutchinson, Minn., was the judge for the show.

The winners are listed below:

  • Senior Showmanship (ages 15 to 18) - champion, Brandi Doll, New Salem; reserve champion, Joey Fridrich, Dickinson
  • Intermediate Showmanship (ages 12 to 14) - champion, Sydney Kleingartner, Gackle; reserve champion, Ivy Klusmann, New Salem
  • Junior Showmanship (ages 8 to 11) - champion, Kendyl Hoger, New Salem; reserve champion, Jacklyn Pazdernik, New Salem
  • Supreme Cow - champion, Fayth Hoger, New Salem; reserve champion, Brandi Doll, New Salem
  • Supreme Heifer - champion, Brandi Doll, New Salem; reserve champion, Jacklyn Pazdernik, New Salem

Breed Show

  • Ayrshire - champion, Sydney Kleingartner, Gackle
  • Holstein - senior champion, Fayth Hoger, New Salem; senior reserve champion, Brenna Hoger, New Salem; junior champion and junior reserve champion, Brandi Doll, New Salem
