Conservation Tillage

Conservation TillageReduced tillage practices reduce water runoff, minimize soil erosion and cuts back on moisture loss from evaporation. Less tillage leaves more crop residue on the soil surface, which decreases the potential for pesticides and fertilizers to move into surface water and normally reduces weed seed germination.

To be successful, a seeder for conservation tillage must meet certain criteria.
