NDNC Board Highlights - October 2017 Board meeting

  • The NDNC online banking balance as of 10/4/17 is as follows:   Checking  $22,061.25; Money Market Savings 
  • $920.75; Total Assets  $22,982.00.
  • Current membership is at 110. Mail Chimp is being used to deliver NDNC Newsletters to members.
  • A vote on a by-law change of defining a “student,” for the purposes of scholarship application, as a full-time student has passed by member emailed vote.
  • The new NDNC Conference Scholarship application form and process was discussed.
  • Vanessa Berg, current vice president, has changed jobs and asked to be removed from her board position.  We need to have a new VP as soon as possible to help with conference planning.
  • By removing the newsletter /directory advertisements from Council Sponsorship advantages, the Gold and Silver Sponsorship will now merge as one sponsorship level. 
  • Availability of applications for the 2018 Mini-Grants, of up to $500, will be sent via list-serve.  Deadline for applications: December 21.
  • Details for the new $200 Community Outreach Mini-Grants was continued discussion for soon-to-be implementation.
  • Date and location for the 2018 NDNC Conference was decided.   The Doublewood (Cambria) in Fargo will be the location. In the past conference survey, early April was the most preferred time of year to hold the event.   After checking possible conflicting dates, April 18 was chosen as the tentative date for a one-day conference.
