The 2017 NDNC Award of Excellence was presented to Mandy Burbank at our annual conference. Mandy was nominated for her exceptional work in promoting breastfeeding in Grand Forks. She was identified as a “wonderful role model” whether it be in the community, working with groups, or building upon professional skills in the sectors of policy, systems, and environmental change related to breastfeeding in Grand Forks. For one of Mandy’s efforts, she held a training to introduce the importance of childcare provider support in breastfeeding success. Since the training four providers have agreed to adopt a breastfeeding policy in their facility. Congratulations once again Mandy on your work and your award!
