The Community Forestry Specialist's responsibilities include providing technical tree care and community forest management assistance.  She will be helping communities with tree inventories and management plans, Tree City USA, cost-share programs, tree pest questions, and related workshops and outreach.  Beth comes to the agency with expertise in soils and work experience at NRCS and NDSU Extension.

Beth said, “"I am excited to begin this position and work with North Dakota's communities to build and care for their tree resources! Trees enrich our lives in so many ways, and planting and caring for them can be one of the more fulfilling things in life. I hope to share my love of North Dakota's natural resources with you as your new Community Forestry Specialist."
