Pre-Conference Tour of NDSU Campus (shuttle departs from hotel main entrance) - Sunday July 22, 2018, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.    
                              Have you ever been to NDSU or Fargo?  
                              Come and learn about state of the art research programs and facilities, which are serving North Dakota’s diverse agricultural industries.
                              As an added bonus, savor the refreshing product of high quality barley at Drekker Brewing as the tour’s finale.

                              Hey, we’re nice in North Dakota and this tour is free, but you need to register by June __. We need a minimum of 25 people to provide the tour.

Tour Highlights:

NDSU Veterinarian Diagnostic Laboratory: NDSU’s new VDL opened in 2017 to provide prompt, accurate, reliable testing and diagnostic support services to veterinarians, animal owners and producers, and the public health sector to ensure the quality of diagnostic and surveillance efforts essential to safeguarding the health and well being of our national herds and flocks, companion animals, wildlife zoo and exotic species and the general public.

NDSU Beef Research Complex: The NDSU Beef Cattle Research Complex was dedicated in 2011. It is a state-of-the-art facility designed to meet the needs of beef cattle research at NDSU well into the future. The center allows NDSU to accomplish the vast array of research needed to meet the challenges of 21st century beef cattle production.  The cattle complex consists of a feeding area, animal handling, calving pens, office and laboratory space, and feed storage and mixing area covering 22,900 sq. feet.

ND Ag Experiment Station Greenhouse:  Dedicated in 2015, this complex provides a modern state-of-the-art facility to advance current research capabilities and enhance student training and education at NDSU. The building provides facilities for enhanced education and advanced research in plant breeding, genetics, horticulture, entomology, plant pathology, plant nutrition, and associated disciplines.

NDSU Commodity Trading Room: Launched in 2011, the room, located in NDSU’s Barry Hall, is a first-of-it’s-kind teaching platform for commodity trading, marketing, logistics and risk management. It features advanced information sources, trading software and analytical tools. This includes a trading room atmosphere with real-time market information displays, and computer terminals to access the information and software needed for trading, analysis, trade simulations, commodity logistics, risk analysis, forecasting, and more.
