Dairy judging is an awesome opportunity for youth to practice life skills like critical thinking, decision making, goal setting, communication, teamwork, self-motivation, marketable skills and more!

We are diving into dairy judging practice beginning Wednesday, April 18th at 6:30pm at the Morton County Courthouse in Mandan, 210 2nd Avenue NW. This initial night we will focus on the basics of dairy judging and set up a schedule for future practices. Many practices will take place on dairy farms in our county where we will be able to judge live classes. There is only one official contest for dairy judging which is the state contest. This will take place in Fargo on June 5th. The first place senior team at this contest will advance to the National 4-H Contest at World Dairy Expo in Madison Wisconsin in October.

If you would like to participate, but cannot make it to the practice on Wednesday, please let us know so we can include you in future communications about dairy judging.
