4-H Update
January 13, 2017

Good Morning, Just a few things for the next couple of weeks:

Livestock Judging
There will not be a workout on Monday, January 16.  The first judging contest is January 28 in Napoleon.  Jackie will have more information for you regarding when you are leaving.  You will need $10.00 a person for this contest.

Hippology
There will not be a Hippology workout on Monday, January 16.

Archery Event
The first archery event will be held on Saturday, January 21 at Nishu Bowmen.  Attached is the registration information for this event.

Request for Club Training
I have had a request for some financial training at a club meeting.  I have resources available here at the office and would be happy to assist you in what exactly a treasurer of a club does and how to properly write a check.  Please contact me if this is something you may be interested in as a lesson for your club.  It would be fun and age appropriate.  Great learning tool.

Out of the Office
I will be out of the office most of next week on personal leave.  Please feel free to contact me by email and I would be happy to respond back to you when I can.  If you should need immediate assistance, Kari and Cami would be happy to help you out, 701-667-3340.

4-H Enrollment
4-H Leaders, we have many of your clubs that still have members that need to be enrolled.  Please encourage your youth at your club meetings to get enrolled.  This is actually an insurance issue for NDSU.  If you would like me to attend a club meeting with a computer to assist with registration, I would be happy to do that.  Also, if you need a how to guide on how to enroll or re-enroll, we can send that information to you as a guide for your 4-H members.

Youth Protection Papers
If any of you have received youth protection paperwork in the mail, we need that in the office in order to complete your 4-H enrollment.  If you have questions, please contact Kari.

That is pretty much a wrap for the week.  Please watch for additional 4-H Updates as January kicks off a very busy 4-H year! Enjoy the weekend and stay warm!
