4-H Update

June 14, 2016

Just a couple of things for the week:

4-H COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT
The Morton County 4-H Council will meet Tuesday, June 14 at 7:00pm at the Morton County Fairgrounds in New Salem.  We will be handing out the concession stand schedule request and going through fair items.  Also, we will have the Livestock Judging team there to discuss their upcoming trip to Louisville, KY.  Please plan on attending to help assist with 4-H Achievement Day happenings.

4-H CAMP
Iwas at camp last week and it was a great week!  Jackie is there this week and Vanessa will be going up to camp on Friday.  The weather has been beautiful and there is a lot of energy with the counselor staff this year.  If you have not already looked in to 4-H Camp this summer, we encourage you to check it out.

4-H ACHIEVEMENT DAY REGISTRATION
4-H Achievement Day Registration was due in the office on June 10(last Friday) if you have not already handed your paperwork in, please do so ASAP so we can determine how many judges we will need this year as well as get everyone’s packets ready for the fair with your exhibit tags.

CAMPING
If you are interested in camping during the Morton County Fair, camp registrations are now being taken at www.mortoncountyfair.com  Electrical spots are going fast, so please take the time to get your camping spot reserved if you are looking for electricity.

FAIR ADMISSION WRISTBANDS
Admission wristbands are available in the Extension Office for a cost of $15.00 for adult and $10.00 for youth for a three day wristband.  If you do not purchase a wristband, daily admission is $9.00 for adult and $6.00 for youth.  Admission is required for Friday through Sunday of the fair.

That is a wrap for this week.  Hope to see a member/parent/leader from each club tonight in New Salem at the 4-H Council meeting.
