4-H Weekly Update

State Fair Static Exhibits:
If you have exhibits that were Grands, Reserves or blues from last year, and you would like them taken to the State Fair, please have them into the office with the State Fair form by July 12th.  Perishables should in by 9 am July 19th. Please enter your perishable on the State Fair form so Kari can have a tag ready to go.

If you have an exhibit from this year that you would like to send to State Fair, an agent can view it to see if it is blue ribbon quality. We will send it up to the State Fair. Exhibits will be back before Achievement Days,

Concession Stand:
Attached is the 4-H Concession Stand schedule for the upcoming County Fair. 

Premium Sale:
Premium Sale letters will be going out to last year’s buyers July 11th.  Please be inviting businesses and individuals to the premium sale on your own also.  If you are new to the premium sale concept, please take time to contact businesses to solicit bids. This might include your bank, feed dealer, or other businesses that you work with. If the business/individual cannot be at the premium sale, have them make the check out to Morton County 4-H Council and send them to the office at 210 2nd Avenue NW, Mandan 58554. The council will disperse the money to you when all premiums are available.

Exhibit Tags:
Your Exhibit Tags will be going out July 11th or 12th. Please be on the watch for them.  If you do not receive them by July 15th, please let Kari know asap.  If you have changes to a Lot, please make those changes. Example: changing from carrots to cucumbers or banana bread to pumpkin bread or brown bracelet to beaded necklace.  You cannot change Classes. Example:  going from Food & Nutrition to Engineering or Horticulture to Extras for your Room, etc.

Livestock & Horse Interview Judging:
Remember all 4-‘Hers who will be showing horse, beef, sheep, swine, goats, rabbits or poultry need to interview judge on Thursday or you will be unable to show or sell your animal.

Horse & Livestock Show Numbers:
Only 1 horse/livestock show number for your back will be given out this year. Please keep your number for the duration of your Achievement Days.

ND Sate 4-H Ambassadors:
Morton County has the privilege of claiming 2 new ND State 4-H Ambassadors! Kaylin Tomac, Independent and Lauryn Hinckley, Missouri Valley Bunch. Congratulations to you two!
