WORKOUTS THAT COUNT AS MEETINGS
We have had many questions in the office regarding workouts that count as meetings.  The Morton County 4-H Council has adopted the policy that for every two workouts that you attend whether that is horse, livestock judging, Hippology, consumer Choices etc. that those will count as one meeting.  You may use up to four workouts to equal two meetings to count towards your six required meetings.  If you should have any questions regarding this policy, please contact the office.  I have excused some 4-H members because they are being told that they don’t have enough meetings in when I know they have attended workouts for some of the many contests we participate in.

CONGRATUATIONS
Congratulations to the many teams that have participated in Spring contests recently.  The Dairy judging teams, both the Junior and Senior teams placed 1st overall at the State Dairy Judging Contest in Fargo.  The Senior team is now eligible to attend 4-H National Dairy Judging at the World Dairy Expo in Madison Wisconsin.

Congratulations to the archery teams that participated in the State Outdoor Match last weekend.  ShiAnne Boehm and Ben Nieumuth will be part of the National Team representing North Dakota in Grand Island, NE 2019.

Also, Congratulations to all the Morton County FFA Chapters that competed at the State FFA Convention recently in Fargo.  It was exciting to hear of the many accomplishments that you achieved!  Good Luck at Nationals this fall.

That’s a wrap for this week.  As always, please contact the office with any questions you might have.
