McKenzie County Seed Improvement Scholarships Available

The McKenzie County Seed Improvement Association is sponsoring the following agricultural scholarships:

  • One $1000 scholarship available to incoming freshman
  • One $1000 scholarship available to undergraduates - (excluding freshman)

Eligibility:

  • Applicant shall be a resident of McKenzie County
  • Applicant shall be pursuing a degree in agriculture
  • Application shall be a full-time student (12 credits or more) at any university/college in the state of North Dakota
  • Funds will be distributed in October 2018

* (Preference will be made to any applicant attending North Dakota State University above all other colleges/institutions within the state of ND)

Application deadline is April 15, 2018. Application forms are available from the Extension Office.

McKenzie County Seed Improvement Association is a non-profit organization supported by check-off dollars from the seed increase program. MCSIA works closely with the NDSU Experiment Stations, State Seed Dept. and NDSU Extension Service to promote general crop improvement practices and increase varieties best adapted to the state and to make seed available to the farmers and the county.

Annual availability of these scholarships is contingent upon the approval of MCSIA Board of Directors.
