Weigh 2 Change is a structured program developed specifically to prevent type 2 diabetes. Trained lifestyle coaches from the NDSU Extension Service lead the program to help you change certain aspects of your lifestyle like eating healthier, reducing stress, and getting more physical activity. The program also includes group support from others who share your goals and struggles. This is not a fad diet or an exercise class. And it’s not a quick fix. It’s a year long program focused on long-term changes and lasting results. A year might sound like a long commitment, but learning new habits, gaining new skills, and building confidence takes time.

Soybean producers interested in intensive soybean management should plan to attend one of four ‘Getting it Right in Soybean Production’ meetings scheduled for Fessenden, Kenmare, Rugby, and Langdon, ND. The Getting it Right in Soybean Production programs and lunches are sponsored by the North Dakota Soybean Council, which oversees promotion, research and marketing programs funded by soybean checkoff dollars. Family Fun & Fitness will be held Sunday, January 28, 2018, 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Wahpeton Community Center. This FREE activity is sponsored by United Way of Richland/Wilkin and Richland County 4-H and is open to all youth and families—just bring a food item for the Richland/Wilkin Food Pantry.

PLEASE ARRIVE AT 12:30 P.M. AT THE WAHPETON COMMUNITY CENTER FOR REGISTRATION. SESSIONS WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 1:00. A bus will be available for transporting between Community Center, Three Rivers Gymnastics and Terrace Lanes.
