Diabetes Prevention Program

Diabetes Prevention Program is a structured program developed specifically to prevent type 2 diabetes. Trained lifestyle coaches from the NDSU Extension Service lead the program to help you change certain aspects of your lifestyle like eating healthier, reducing stress, and getting more physical activity. The program also includes group support from others who share your goals and struggles. This is not a fad diet or an exercise class. And it’s not a quick fix. It’s a year long program focused on long-term changes and lasting results. A year might sound like a long commitment, but learning new habits, gaining new skills, and building confidence takes time.

Best of the Best in Wheat and Soybean Production

Wednesday January 31, Alerus Grand Forks and February 1 Courtyard, Moorhead.
These meetings will review recent research findings on issues that impact wheat and soybeans production in the region. Topics include wheat production issues, managing SCN in soybeans, soybean research update, market overview, and how to manage weeds. Hands-on demonstrations are planned at both locations.
These hands-on demonstrations always are popular because participants get a chance to interact with the presenters and see and touch what is being described.
These meetings are sponsored by the Minnesota and North Dakota wheat and soybean growers and checkoff organizations, in conjunction with the University of Minnesota and NDSU Extension Services.
