2017 Barley Field School

Eighteen people with many levels of malting and brewing expertise attended the 6th annual North Dakota State University/Institute of Barley and Malt Sciences Barley Field School July 18-21, 2017. Instructors were from the Department of Plant Sciences, Plant Pathology, Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, Soil Science, the North Dakota Barley Council and the University of Minnesota at Crookston. Hands-on field trips included NDSU research plots and laboratories, two barley farm operations and a micro-malting facility.
