Sam Haugen
Grand Forks County is one of the most diversified and productive agricultural areas in North Dakota. Agriculture systems are ever changing and an exciting field to be in! Offering programs and resources related to crop production and resource management is the primary focus of my position. Throughout the year I conduct the Grand Forks County private pesticide applicator training, work with the Grand Forks County Crop Improvement Association, and coordinate the foundation seed increase program for the county. The Grand Forks County variety trials have been, and still are an important resource for the producers of the county for small grains, soybeans and corn. Various field days and other Extension education programs will be offered throughout the year.
If you have any questions on pest management, precision agriculture, crop production, or anything agriculture please give a phone call and/or office visit!
