The Grand Forks County soybean plot was harvested October 28.  The plot showed symptoms consistent with exposure to growth regulator herbicides or those caused by some viruses from early July through maturity.  Samples were sent to the NDSU (North Dakota State University) plant diagnostic lab to be diagnosed.  Results from the NDSU lab came up negative for various diseases.   From there, samples were sent to the SDSU (South Dakota State University) plant diagnostic lab to be tested for virus infection.  At this time we do not have the results of the tests from the SDSU lab.  All the varieties in the plot were affected to some degree, some worse than others.  As a result of the variance caused by this, data from this plot was deemed unreliable and will not be published.  Feel free to contact the Extension office with any questions.
