Olathe, Kansas April 17-18, 2012

The 2012 Great Plains Tree Pest Council Meeting was hosted by Kansas State University and GPTPC Chair Nicole Ricci.  The meeting opened with a presentation on the History of Forestry in Kansas by Kansas State Forester, Larry Biles.  Presentations followed from guest speakers, researchers in forest health fields and state forest health representatives.  Field trips to relic forested areas within the Sunflower Ammunitions Plant and to the American Walnut Company concluded the first and second day of the meeting, respectively.
