Old-Fashioned Green Leafy Salad

  • Old-fashioned Green Leafy Salad
  • 1/2 c. light cream
  • 1 tsp. granulated sugar
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 8 c. mixed salad greens
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped scallions or green onions (optional)


Whisk together the first four items in a small bowl. Rinse lettuce under cold water and remove excess moisture. Add chopped scallions if desired. Right before serving, toss the lettuce with the dressing.

Makes 8 servings.

Per Serving: about 45 calories, 3 grams (g) of fat, 4 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 1 g protein and 85 mg sodium
