Angel Delight

This healthy recipe comes from NDSU Extension Service.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages sugar-free gelatin of choice
  • 1/2 store-bought rectangular or box-made angel food cake
  • 2 ripe peaches, 1 cup berries, or other desired fruit (including canned, except pineapple).

Directions

Make gelatin as directed. Tear or up cut cake. Line 13-by-9 cake pan with pieces of angel food cake. Peel and slice peaches or other fruit. Place fruit over cake. Top with gelatin and refrigerate for 4 hours. Cover with reduced-fat whipped topping and decorate with additional berries if you like.

Makes 12 servings.

Per Serving: about 140 calories, 1.7 grams (g) of fat, and 27 g carbohydrate
