Pizza Dip

This healthy recipe comes from NDSU Extension Service courtesy of the Midwest Dairy Council.


1 (6-oz.) package light cream cheese

1/2 c. light sour cream

1 tsp. oregano

1/2 c. pizza sauce

1 c. shredded low-moisture, part-skim mozzarella cheese

1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 c. diced red peppers

1/4 c. diced green onions

Whole-wheat breadsticks or crackers


Combine cream cheese, sour cream, and oregano in bowl. Stir until smooth. Spread evenly into a small pie plate or 8- by 8-inch square pan. Top with pizza sauce, cheese, peppers and onions. Bake at 350 F for 15 minutes or until cheese in melted. Serve warm with breadsticks or crackers.

Makes 5 servings.
