Good Old Raisins and Peanuts (GORP)

This healthy recipe comes from NDSU Extension Service.


•    4 cups oat ring cereal
•    1/2 cup dried fruit bits
•    1/2 cup raisins
•     1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts
•    1/2 cup M&M’s candy (optional)



Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix with a spoon. Store in Ziploc bags or in an airtight container.

Makes 12 servings.

Per 1/2 cup Serving: With chocolate, about 153 calories, 5 grams (g) of fat, 15 g carbohydrate, 3 g protein and 350 mg sodium

                                 Without chocolate, 110 calories, 3.6 g of fat, and 17.8 g of carbohydrate.
