Chili

This healthy recipe comes from NDSU Extension Service.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Basic Meat Mix
  • 2 (15-oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (15-oz.) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tsp. chili powder

Directions

Mix all ingredients. Microwave 10 minutes in a microwave-safe dish or cook on stovetop in large pot for 30 minutes or until it reaches 165 F.

Makes four servings.

Per serving: 294 calories, 4.8 grams (g) fat, 31 g carbohydrate and 530 mg sodium.
