Baked Pork Chops

This healthy recipe comes from NDSU Extension Service.


  • 6 pork chops, lean, 1/2-inch thick
  • 1 medium thinly sliced onion
  • 1 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt


  1. Preheat oven to 375 F
  2. Trim fat from pork chop. Place chops in a 13-by-9-inch baking pan.
  3. Spread onion and chopped green pepper on top of the chops. Sprinkle with pepper and salt.
  4. Cover pan and bake 30 minutes
  5. Uncover, turn chops and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, until pork reaches and internal temperature of 160 F and no pink remains.

Makes 6 servings.
