Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken
Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken
This healthy recipe comes from NDSU Extension Service.


2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 to 2 garlic cloves, minced
1 c. dry bread crumbs
2/3 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
1 tsp. dried basil
¼ tsp. ground black pepper
6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves



1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly grease a 9- by 13-inch baking dish.
2. In a shallow dish, blend olive oil and garlic.
3. In a separate shallow dish, mix bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, basil and black pepper.
4. Season each chicken breast half with salt and pepper, dip in oil mixture and then dip in bread crumb mixture.
5. Arrange coated chicken breasts in prepared baking dish. Discard remaining bread crumb mixture.
6. Bake for 30 minutes, until juices run clear and chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 F.


Makes six servings. Each serving has 220 calories, 10 g fat, 18 g protein, 14 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber and 340 mg sodium.
