Granola Bars

This healthy recipe comes from NDSU Extension Service.


•    1/4 c. butter or margarine
•    4 c. mini-marshmallows
•    1 c. rolled oats
•    1 c. crushed graham crackers
•    1/2 c. ground flax
•    1/2 c. raisins, dried cranberries or other chopped dried fruit
•    1/4 c. sunflower seeds
•    1/4 c. coconut



Melt butter or margarine in large saucepan. Add marshmallows, stirring until melted and remove from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients until coated. Press into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Cool and cut into 24 bars.

Makes 24 servings.

Per Serving: about 120 calories, 4.4 grams (g) of fat, 19 g of carbohydrate, 0.8 g of saturated fat, and no cholesterol.
