Old-Fashioned Lemonade

This healthy recipe comes from NDSU Extension Service.


  • 6 lemons (to make about 1 cup lemon juice)
  • 6 cups cold water
  • 1 cup sugar


Juice lemons. Mix juice, water and sugar in pitcher. Stir well. Serve over ice. Note: To reduce calories, you can substitute a sugar-free sweetener according to the package instructions.

Makes 8 servings.

Per Serving: about 105 calories, 0 grams (g) of fat, 28 g carbohydrate, and 23% of the daily recommendation for vitamin C
