Fruit Smoothie with Carrots
This healthy recipe comes from NDSU Extension Service.


  • 8 ice cubes
  • 1 (6-ounce) container vanilla yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 8 baby carrots
  • 1 banana, cut in chunks
  • 1 c. strawberries, halved
  • ½ apple, peeled, cored, diced


Place ingredients in blender or food processor in same order as written. Blend until smooth.

Makes 4 servings.

Per Serving: about 130 calories, less than 1 grams (g) of fat, 31 g carbohydrate, 3 g fiber, 2 g protein and 45 mg sodium.
