Crunchy Fruit Salad

This healthy recipe comes from NDSU Extension Service.


  • 2 oranges, peeled and cut into bite-size pieces (or 2 small cans mandarin oranges)
  • 1 red apple, unpeeled, cut in bite-size pieces
  • 1/2 c. sliced celery
  • 1/4 c. raisins
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. chopped walnuts or sunflower seeds


Combine all ingredients in a bowl and chill.

Makes four servings.

Per serving: 146 calories, 4.7 grams (g) fat, 26 g carbohydrate and 3.6 g fiber.
