This healthy recipe comes from NDSU Extension Service.


  • 3/4 c. wheat and barley nugget cereal
  • ¼ c. 100 percent bran cereal
  • 2 tsp. sunflower seeds
  • 2 tsp. sliced almonds
  • 1 Tbsp. raisins
  • ½ c. banana, sliced
  • 1 c. strawberries, sliced
  • 1 c. low-fat Greek yogurt (any flavor)


1. Mix the wheat and barley nugget cereal, bran cereal, sunflower seeds and almonds in a medium bowl.
2. Add the raisins, banana and half of the strawberries.
3. Gently stir in the yogurt and divide between two bowls or layer.
4. Scatter the remaining strawberries over the top and enjoy!

Makes two servings.

Per Serving: 360 calories, 5 grams (g) of fat, 71 g carbohydrate, 8 g fiber, 13 g protein and 350 mg sodium
