Keep Livestock and Feed High and Dry
Livestock producers should move their animals to higher ground before floodwaters start to rise.
Producers also need to move hay if it’s stored in low spots in fields, along creeks and rivers, and in areas that might be cut off if roads wash out.
For more information on keeping livestock and animal feed high and dry during a flood, contact your county’s North Dakota State University Extension Service office or visit NDSU’s flood website at www.ag.ndsu.edu/flood.
