Find New Ways to Try Raspberries
Do you love raspberries? Who doesn’t!
While raspberries are delicious to eat fresh from the garden, you have many other ways to enjoy this flavorful fruit.
Here are some favorites to try the next time you have a bountiful harvest:
On a Stick
Puree raspberries, sugar, lemon juice and water in a blender until smooth. Place in containers to make frozen treats on a stick and freeze.
Smoothie
Add raspberries to your favorite smoothie. Try mixing raspberries, strawberries and blueberries for a delicious berry smoothie.
Raspberry Sauce
Boil together raspberries, sugar and water in a medium saucepan. After they begin to boil, add a mixture of cold water and cornstarch to help it thicken. Remove from heat and add vanilla and a dash of salt. Enjoy this sauce over ice cream, cheesecake, or pancakes.
Muffins
Try making some lemon raspberry muffins for a nutritious way to start your morning.
Top Yogurt
Top yogurt with raspberries for a fun twist to your normal bowl of yogurt.
Raspberry Vinaigrette
Make your own homemade raspberry vinaigrette. Using a blender, blend together raspberries, extra virgin olive oil, raspberry vinegar, yogurt and sea salt. Enjoy on top of a bed of spinach with mandarin oranges, fresh raspberries and sliced pecans.
Fruit Salsa
Make your own fruit salsa with your favorite fresh fruits. Try mixing together raspberries, strawberries, apples and kiwi with a little bit of white sugar and/or brown sugar, and any flavor of fruit preserves. Enjoy this on top of homemade cinnamon chips.
