What to Harvest in July

By Allie Dhuyvetter, RD, Program Assistant, NDSU Extension Service

Know when fruits and vegetables are in season, so you can take advantage of what is growing in local gardens. If your faith community has volunteer food preparers, this information can help them plan recipes that incorporate produce when it is at its peak quality and freshness. People will enjoy the fresh produce at the potluck.

The weather and growing conditions, along with other factors, affect when fruits and vegetables will be ready for harvest. Use the lists below as guidelines for what will be ready to eat this July. The following guidelines were published by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture.
