7 Habits of Highly Effective People (1/27/2015)

Regardless of where you work or your role in Extension, the most common challenge that both new and experienced staff members face is getting overwhelmed and needing help managing responsibilities. In response, ELT has made available to all Extension staff members the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People training. (ELT members have all participated too.) Since the first workshop in May 2012, 137 staff members have taken advantage of the opportunity! As an organization we have nearly reached the half-way mark in getting everyone on board with 7 Habits. ELT encourages everyone else to join their colleagues in taking time to build personal development skills that are sure to make a difference. Concepts and terms learned in 7 Habits can be helpful in creating a common platform for workplace interaction, improving communication and teamwork in many instances. Find out for yourself by reserving a spot for the May 6-8, 2015 session at http://tinyurl.com/pnrqf2g. Another will be offered in September, but dates and location have not been determined.

A very special thank you to three Extension colleagues for going above and beyond to become certified trainers and lead these workshops: Deb Theurer, Extension parent educator, Steve Sagaser, Extension Agent/Grand Forks County, and Jodi Bruns, Community Vitality Area Specialist. We appreciate their extra time and good work.
