Minutes from the October 14, 2009 ESP Meeting

October 14, 2009
Prairie Rose Room, Memorial Union, NDSU, Fargo, ND

 

The meeting was called to order by President Deb Pankow.

Guests: Gary Moran, Hugh McDonald, Ron Anderson and Ruth Gulbrandson.

Moment of silence for retiree’s and former members that had passed away including: Banks Sieber, Jeanie Hochalter, Dexter Johnson, Bill Rosenkrantz and Jack Westra.

Peggy Anderson moved to approve minutes meeting were approved as printed. Willie Huot second. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Gene Elhard moved to approve and Lynette Flage second. Motion carried.

Rick Schmidt will be sending out dues notices.

Peggy Anderson reported on Recognition and Awards. Members need to submit nominations. Awards will be given out Friday at luncheon.

JCEP Meeting 2010 will be February 2 & 3 in Nashville, TN

2009 National Meeting in Fargo – Recap given by Kathy Tweten and Rita Ussatis

Our chapter made money on the conference. The letter from Ellen Burton was read.

4-H Foundation Managed Account Money – Vanessa Hoines moved to put together a small committee to invest funds from 2009 National Meeting. Eunice Sahr second. Motion carried. Committee members are: Vanessa Hoines, Rita Ussatis, and Dean Aakre. Dean Aakre moved the 80% of the funds be in stocks and 20% in a fixed account. Gene Elhard second. Motion carried. Dean Aakre moved to put 100%  into 4-H Foundation co-mingled funds. Marcia McMullen second. Motioned carried. Amendment carried.

Lynette Flage moved to adjoun. Becky Koch second. Meeting adjourned.
