Minutes of the March 22, 1995 ESP Meeting

Epsilon Sigma Phi - Upsilon Chapter
Informal Meeting, March 22, 1995

An informal meeting was held at the Holiday Inn at 5:00 p.m. at the close of the second day of the Extension Conference.
Gary Moran, president, had arranged for snacks and a cash bar.

Gary called the meeting to order and indicated this was an informal meeting.

Norbert Dorow gave a brief treasurer's report showing a balance on hand of $8,256. 66 members had paid dues. The major expense
coming up would be up to $500 for the grant program for special projects or professional improvement submitted by members.

Brad Cogdill gave a report on the N.C. Regional Workshop which he had attended in February in St. Louis. He reported that some
chapters are experiencing declining membership, in part due to more split appointments of state staff and inclusive professional
associations for field staff. There had been discussion of ESP becoming more of a spokesman for Extension. The new ESP handbook
is available on FAX.

Connie,Weed, membership chair, reported 70 members including 4 who had paid during the meeting.
Geri Bosh, Recognition Committee Chair, introduced Rudy Radke and commended him for receiving the Visionary Leadership Award. He had
been absent during the recognition event having just returned from a trip to France to study processing of food projects.

It was moved, seconded and carried to pursue the possibility of our Chapter being represented at the National ESP Conference next
December, possibly by our president.

Meeting adjourned,
Norbert Dorow, Secretary-Treasurer
