Bison Strides: Equine Assisted Activities & Therapies Services

Bison Strides (Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies "EAAT") operates under the direction of the Equine Science Program in the NDSU Department Animal Sciences. The mission of Bison Strides is to provide experiential teaching and learning opportunities for undergraduate students, to serve the citizens of ND by providing EAAT services of exceptional quality, and to conduct EAAT research – the three tenets of a land-grant institution.

Bison Strides (Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies "EAAT") is offering an 8-week adapted riding session for individuals with physical, cognitive, emotional, behavioral or mental health challenges. Participants must be at least 5 years old and have no contraindications for horseback riding. Individuals must also have a physician’s release and be evaluated by the EAAT director prior to participating in the program.  The fall session runs from September 11 to October 31, 2017 and will be held at the NDSU Equine Center, 5140 19th Ave N, Fargo. The cost for the one-hour-per-week adapted riding lessons is $320. The deadline for registration is August 31.
