NDSU Extension Pesticide Program

2021 Private Applicator Recertification Trainings

The NDSU Pesticide Program is offering the following Private Applicator Zoom Recertification trainings.  This alternative training method was developed in response to the Covid-19 Pandemic.  It will allow participation from the home, shop, or other place of business with an internet capable Android smartphone, Apple device, or computer.

The following dates and times are available:

  • Monday, February 22 at 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm via ZOOM
  • Wednesday, February 24 at 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm hybrid model - hosted on ZOOM with the option of in person available for those who do not have internet access or troubles navigating technology (LOCATION FOR IN PERSON - TBA)


hybrid meeting is a meeting where a part of the audience joins from the office and another part joins remotely. We are allowing in person attendance for those who do not have access to the internet or who have troubles navigating technology. Seating is limited. If you plan to attend in person, please call the office by January 29th, 2021.  If you plan to attend virtually, please pre-register by February 18th, 2021. Once registered, the link to join the training will be sent via email on Friday, February 19th, 2021, so please make sure to check your emails for this link and also check your junk mail folder.

To be certified you need to be prepared for 2 ½ - 3 hours of training and pay a $30 certification fee. For those joining virtually, you will pay this fee when you register online.

Applicators; please keep in mind certification cards will not be mailed until payment is received. If you need to take a test, you must make those arrangement with your NDSU County Extension Office.

Commercial Applicator Recertification Trainings

If you no longer need your commercial applicators license but want drop down to private applicator. You must hold both ground core and ag pest certification at the commercial level in order to drop to private applicator. Any other combinations will not be accepted.
