Durum Wheat Quality and Pasta Processing Laboratory

The Durum Wheat Quality and Pasta Processing Laboratory is part of the Department of Plant Sciences located at NDSU. The mission of our laboratory is four fold:

  • Research: To meet the needs of the farmer, miller, processor and the consumer.
  • Teaching / Training: To prepare graduate students for success in cereal/food industry or academia.
  • Quality Assessment: To assess the quality of the durum crop, export cargo samples, and mid- to advanced-durum lines.
  • Industry Support: To assist the durum wheat and pasta industries.
