Avoiding Antagonism Between Grass and Broadleaf Control Herbicides

Tank-mixing or close interval application of Poast (sethoxydim) or Select (clethodim) with broadleaf herbicides can reduce grass control.  To manage this, there are two solutions.  First, apply the chemicals separately.  Poast or Select can be applied 1 or more days prior to a broadleaf herbicide application.  Or wait 7 days after the broadleaf application to avoid antagonism.

Another solution is when tank-mixing, add a higher rate of grass herbicide to help compensate for reduced herbicide activity.
