Question: I have a container of herbicide and am unsure of the contents or if the herbicide is the same as indicated on the container. Is there a place I can get it tested to make sure I know what the herbicide is?

Question: I have a container of herbicide and am unsure of the contents or if the herbicide is the same as indicated on the container. Is there a place I can get it tested to make sure I know what the herbicide is?

Answer: Page 106 in the ND Weed Control Guide shows several labs that can analyze for pesticide residue in soil and plants. Phone numbers are also listed. Contacting them and explaining your situation may result in locating a lab that can perform an accurate and successful analysis. The labs listed in South Dakota are very proficient and do quality analysis.
