Herbicide Labeled on Safflower

The North Dakota Department of Agriculture issued FIFRA Section 24(c) Special Local Needs (SLN) registration ND-170004 to FMC Corporation. This SLN registration allows the product Spartan Charge (EPA Reg. No. 279-3337, active ingredients carfentrazone-ethyl and sulfentrazone) to be used on safflower in North Dakota. This SLN registration expires on December 31, 2022.

The label can also be found at http://www.kellysolutions.com/nd/pesticideindex.asp.

Read the label to understand the requirements unique to this use. Growers will use Spartan Charge in safflower at their own risk. Knowing soil characteristics such as soil pH, organic matter, and texture are required to apply the correct rate. The label also describes high-risk soils where Spartan Charge should not be used.
