Curtail M Rates in Flax (06/18/15)

Question: I am having difficulty reconciling the flax use rate for Curtail M listed in the ND weed guide at 1.33 to 1.75 pt/A to the rate of 0.85 pt/A listed in the Flax section of the federal Curtail M label. Can you tell me what I am missing?

Curtail M Rates in Flax

Question: I am having difficulty reconciling the flax use rate for Curtail M listed in the ND weed guide at 1.33 to 1.75 pt/A to the rate of 0.85 pt/A listed in the Flax section of the federal Curtail M label.  Can you tell me what I am missing?
Answer: We appreciate you taking the time to read the label. The label is always the final source of information for pesticide use. You are correct with the rates listed in the weed guide and on the Curtail M label. I was almost ready to concede to the accuracy of your investigation…..then I got an idea – lets go back to CDMS and see if Dow issued any Supplemental labels allowing a different rate structure. Sweet serendipity - yes, there is a ND SLN which allows the rates listed in the weed guide - http://www.cdms.net/LDat/ld11C014.pdf

Your email is not a bother but rather a big help to keep the information in the weed guide accurate. For a minute you had me flush with embarrassment but (for now) the accuracy of the weed guide remains unscathed. Keep checking labels and if you see any discrepancies, let us know.
