Southwest ND (07/19/18)

Information from the Southwest region of North Dakota.

According to NDAWN, Dickinson has received 1.92 inch of rainfall from July 1st to July 16th with most of that falling on July 3rd with 1.4 inch. Over the same period, 0.83 inch was observed in Hettinger and 0.66 inch in Mott. Rains have been scattered however, for those that did receive significant rainfall the environment has been prime for diseases. Ascochyta has been an issue for some chickpea producers in the region. Most canola is done flowering, and small grains range from flowering to dough. Hay continues to be cut across the region.
