Northeast ND (08/13/15)

Information from the Northeast region of North Dakota.

Harvest activities and spraying for soybean aphids are last week’s top activities. Small grains are steadily being harvested.  Canola swathing is just beginning. At the LREC station, our last measurable rainfall was July 23. Our plots are holding in there, but across the region, soybeans are wilting in the lighter soil types. Some soys are losing their bottom leaves now from the extended dry period.
