Northeast ND (06/06/19)

Information from the Northeast region of North Dakota.

Planting is finishing in the northeast this week. Some canola fields will be replanted from ferocious flea beetle activity in the area. Small grains are starting to tiller and herbicide spray applications will be happening soon. Corn is approximately at the V2 stage. Canola is seedling to 1-lf stage.  Soybeans are emerging. Most northeast counties are reporting dry topsoil conditions. As of early in the week, flea beetles are still present and feeding though their numbers are down from last week’s peak, so keep scouting.
