Northeast ND (05/23/19)

Information from the Northeast region of North Dakota.

Planting continues this week. Much of the area would welcome rain except pockets of Nelson, Grand Forks and other flooded area, which experienced delays and waiting for ground to dry out. Small grain planting activities are wrapping up in the region. The first small grain fields are emerging. Many crops are continuing to be seeded, such as canola, soybean, and flax. Crucifer flea beetles are emerging in higher numbers this week. Scout if you have canola emerging this week.
